Light The Night

Legislative Change

On November 2, 2023, Rutland City (Vermont)Town Hall in Paramount Theatre shed light on the core of the crime issue – poor legislation! LTN “Light The Night”, Support Reducing Crime began with a Facebook page urging the display of blue and green lights in windows as a tribute to police officers, veterans, & volunteer citizen patrols. This movement expanded into a blog I crafted for a class, further growing into a couple of audio podcasts for the same class. The second episode of the podcast found its way onto Vermont Podcasts’ prestigious list online, inspiring me to create more episodes.  https://player.fm/podcasts/Vermont  Your involvement is key. Let’s stand united with blue and green lights adorning our windows to appreciate those fighting against crime and those defending our nation’s freedom. VERMONTERS! I call upon you to reach out to your legislators, advocating for vital revisions to current crime laws. Register to vote if you are not registered. Each action taken brings us closer to a safer community and a better future.
